The Farmers Daughters Cafe & Eatery- Bozeman, MT
Most Sundays, walking out of brunch I feel like a worthless piece of you know what. And no, it's not from the previous nights vodka intake. I mean sure that could certainly be a contributing factor, but it is from my greasy spoon type decision-making skills of where to eat.
The menu at Farmers Daughters Cafe is fresh and leaves one feeling full, energized, and ready to go back home and bust out the Dyson. Or Option B: leaves one sitting upright on the couch, scrolling with ease without a gut ache.
With ingredients from local Montana farms and options for the non-dairy or sans gluten eaters, one does not have to limit their brunch invites. I mean let's be real, we all have that friend who is NO fun to eat with because they won’t eat. OR rather, they CAN’T eat. I’m not taking health or diet restrictions lightly. I’m just saying, I often choose to put myself through gluttonous misery and it’s nice to have company. Finally! Something for every body!
Another thing…. It is SO reasonably priced. Have you ever gone to the hot bar at Whole Foods or your local co-op and spent your weekly grocery budget on ONE priced per pound meal? I have (no regret or judgement). That won’t happen here.
The Farmers Daughter is family owned and operated. These two gorgeous, sister entrepreneurs are out on the floor welcoming guests, clearing tables, taking orders, and hustling. They are inspiring.
I’ll briefly address the aesthetics along with what to eat and we can move on.
The cafe is located at the RSVP Motel in Midtown Bozeman. Floral patterns, colorful tables and chairs, local pottery, trendy vibes, “Soup of the Day: Champagne” and “Rose this Way” signage.. The decor sets it apart from this mountain Montana town. It's beautiful and refreshing. Modern, yet cozy.
What I ate:
Kale Caesar with Beet Cured Salmon
I’m going to talk about this beet cured salmon for a second. It was unreal. Without sounding to obvious, its smoked salmon that has been cured with salt and beet puree. YES PLEASE. I couldn’t get enough.
They also have a variety of healthy grab and go options and baked goods... i.e.. lavender vegan and gluten free cookies?!? I CANT. Delicious. If one is trying to go light, there is a plethora of FRESH juices and smoothies.
This is a must stop when visiting Bozeman.
