Every month, I will pick a dish from a cookbook of one of my favorite chefs. As you know, I Google all day every day, but I am choosing top picks from physical books. There is something special about turning real pages. And as the hardbacks collect dust, they make for excellent decoration. So I may order a few new ones. Just for this blog. CRAZY.
Before We Begin… A Life Update:
I am in the head over heels in love phase, where even though I just relocated to a new city a few months ago and am usually a socialite, I don’t care about status and extending my list of friends. I would rather stay in and cook with my handsome and darling boyfriend and dog. And now its about to be months of cold weather, so my social life might be temporarily f*&#ed. I’ll keep you informed.
In the meantime… Lets Eat.

I have renamed the dish.
HARISSA AND MARISSA
What is harissa? A spice with a kick.
I had not experience this spice prior to this recipe. Its okay if you just tilted your head.

Eggplant sliced into thick rounds
I tried a new spice. This dish is a bit adventures. Gourmet.
I often forget about eggplant. It’s been on my list to prepare more frequently.
