I love a good deal, I much prefer savory over sweet, and I am the definition of a crunch nation when it comes to my snack choices. Thats why when kale was on sale for 79 cents a bundle, I couldn’t resist.
exhale delicious flavorful chips.
And it is SO easy.
Wash kale and displace from its thick, aggressive rib to which it forms.
Hand tear or cut evenly (varies per personality type) into individual pieces.
Towel dry (or air dry if you have time) and place on baking sheet.
Coat kale in desired oil (avocado or olive).
NOTE: Do NOT be afraid to get in there and massage and flatten the pieces. This helps make the kale even more chip like.
Season with salt and desired seasoning.
I often mix up my seasoning.
A few examples:
Garlic and Crushed Red Pepper
Cumin and Chilli
HIDDEN VALLEY RANCH PACKET (YOURE WELCOME)
Bake at 300 for 10 minutes and gently rearrange/turn over kale pieces for the ultimate crunch.
Bake another 10 minutes.
Also- I just learned that this exists. A kale stripper to remove the ribs.
